Once upon a time, on an island not very far from here, a young girl wondered about the power of slow fashion. She wondered about the impact clothes can have on aspects of our being such as self-image, confidence, femininity and even the raw self expression from our deepest source. She realized so many values she could combine according to her passion which would help many beautiful souls to extend their being and blossom into their most magnificent selves. Her options in this field weren’t much yet, but she was confident enough to start small and take her chances.
You never really know where the creative life will take you once you start… following an inspired idea to its fullest expression.
From a small atelier in The Netherlands, all handmade, one by one she started this journey.

My name is Lauren Sophie Messack. Ever since I was 17 years old, I have been visiting Ibiza. I’m still discovering new places, but the vibe remains the same. One day, I realized that I wanted to translate that vibe into something you can wear and feel on your body… everyday!
This island inspired me to create styles that are comfortable, sexy, and bring joy to the world. My priority is to help people feel happy and free, both in their mind and heart, by wearing my clothing. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Transparency has always played a huge role in my life… not only in my friendships, but also now in creating this company. I want you to feel completely in love with what you’re wearing, and I do this by working in a responsible way from from beginning (design) until the end (product) that’s hanging in your closet.
No secrets, no second agendas… only pure love from me, for you and for the world. I try my best to be completely transparent when it comes to the production process, because the environment and sustainability is central to everything I do.
From building healthy and strong relationships with the people who produce the clothing and jewelry, to only using materials with the smallest carbon footprint, I strive to raise our awareness about production choices.
I don’t believe in fast fashion. As an influencer, I reject any proposals or partnerships supporting mass production. In my goal to give back to nature, I created shopbylauren to raise awareness in a fun and playful way.
One of my core philosophies at Sunflowersoul is to create designs in one size and one material… that are long-lasting, non-seasonal and transitional no matter what day of the year.
We do not drop seasonal collections, but we do add new products to the collection now and then. In this way, we hope to reduce waste and create products that can be used by you for a longer period of time. It means that the focus is based on quality, not quantity.
Ultimately, my mission is to empower women to reclaim and rekindle their inner fire… to create spaces for like-hearted souls to gather and thrive. And this is why my clothing is one-size-fits-all; to not make any person feel like a number. Because we are all perfect exactly how we are.
